Los Alamos Technical Associates/MIOX Awards Infinite's Laser and Photonics Group Subsidiary Contract.

Infinite Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMCI) today announced that Laser Fare ATG, a member of Infinite's Laser and Photonics Group has been awarded a $230,000 contract from MIOX Corporation in support of their recent award from the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA) for small portable water purification devices.

"Los Alamos Technical Associates, Inc. (LATA) of Los Alamos, NM and the MIOX Corporation (MIOX) of Albuquerque, NM are under contract to DARPA to develop a water purification system that can be carried by a soldier in the field. The system will provide filtered, desalinated, and disinfected water in sufficient quantity to supply a single soldier, from natural water sources, including seawater. Although still being designed, it is envisioned that the system will consist of a microfiltration unit and a reverse osmosis unit complete with a hand-or foot-powered pump, and a device for providing freshly-prepared disinfecting solution with will treat a standard canteen of water," said Clifford G.
