Lords of Dogtown movie premiere: Hollywood, California 5.24.05.

GRAUMAN'S CHINESE THEATRE on Hollywood Boulevard was the setting for the world premiere of the long awaited film Lords of Dogtown. With a reputed 75-100 million of Sony's ducats invested in this rollout, a lot of people were watching. Particularly bright was the block-long, paparazzi-lined, red carpet corridor. Hundreds of photographers clamored for the attention of the stars. Most in demand was Skip Engblom, who hovered effervescently amidst the strobe lit throngs. Tony and Avalon Alva definitely lit up the red carpet. Heath Ledger consorted with John Linson as they both infiltrated. Tony Jetton demonstrated honed social chops, while Jay Adams, Chris Gorak and Tommy Harper were a solid hit with the European cineastes as they got all the serious questions. Minnie Driver, Maria Minelli, Viki Griffin, Sophie Sarlo, Tranny the Pirate, Catherine Hatzikian, Susanne Melanie, Niki Reed, Catherine Hardwicke, the Lorenzo sisters, Beanie Barnes and Rebecca DeMornay all earned bonus round style points for striking fierce red carpet poses. The family Muir was on point at the after party which was driven by Suicidal and Perry Farrell. The ramp went off as did Jay Boy, who got racked right up front. Block, Hosoi, Bagel, Olson, Dune, Brian Zarate, Simon, Tuma, PC, Zeke, Biniak, TV, Lance Mountain, the Brothers C, Kristian Peterson, Mike Ogas, Jason Lee, Oster, Christian Parkes, Ray Flores, Allan Sarlo, the Suicidal Boys and Cheyne Magnusson all kept it real. Over on the periphery Ozzy Osborne, Peter DiStefano, Stephen Baldwin, Sharon O and Paris Hilton caused a stir. And what was Fausto Vitello doing with Constantine the American Idol? Or then there were the live mermaids trapped in the nets.
