"Right out of the box, Kinnetics has a lot of features that you can use immediately," said Richard Cameron, Network Manager, Royal Military College of Canada. "Kinnetics immediately collects a large amount of information that would require a lot of configuration on other network management systems."

"As agencies continue the drive to e-government, they need to ensure their networks offer the robustness, performance and cost-effectiveness demanded by these new services," said Steve Dauber daub

The National Archives of Canada has selected Kinnetics to manage its entire network. The National Archive is responsible for preserving Canada's history as well as managing government documents. The government historical records holdings comprise over 60 kilometers of textual records, maps and photographs; 19,000 master negative microfilm reels; and more than 2,000 data files.

As Mr. Ian E. Wilson, Canada's National Archivist, said in a speech to Archives employees last year, "As with all public institutions, the context in which the Archives operates changes rapidly. The expectations of the public, technology and the changing role of government in our society force us to be flexible and creative, while remaining true to our principles. Moreover, the new conditions offer a wide array of possibilities to those institutions which learn to adapt. This is the challenge which we must face together." The Archives selected Kinnetics for its simplicity in installation and ease of use, as well as its ability to easily manage a multivendor environment.

Natural Resources Canada's Earth Sciences Sector selected Kinnetics and has been using it since November, 1999. They were impressed with Kinnetics' automation - which eases the daily management burden. The Earth Sciences Sector is responsible for data and expertise on both the Canadian landmass land·mass
