 like to share with you the exciting editorial offerings you'll see in 1995. We have revamped our editorial calendar to better address the topics you would like to see. Please look over the new schedule and let us know what you think.

This month we're taking a look at new trends in Recycling recycling, the process of recovering and reusing waste products—from household use, manufacturing, agriculture, and business—and thereby reducing their burden on the environment.  and Grounds Maintenance, as well as presenting a roundup of our recent Congress held in Minneapolis. Aquatics will be the focus in February, with special attention being paid to water safety concerns. March will be bring us social issues of the '90s, giving us the opportunity to share with you the significant ways in which our members make a difference in people's lives. March also will feature the 1995 Buyer's Guide, providing you with the most comprehensive source of products and services you need.

April's focus will be multi-facted with a look at playgrounds, softball softball, variant of baseball played with a larger ball on a smaller field.  Congress for Recreation Program Packet, which will arrive with that issue. The packet includes a detailed overview of the Congress, as well as the official registration and housing forms you'll need to join us in San Antonio San Antonio (săn ăntō`nēō, əntōn`), city (1990 pop. 935,933), seat of Bexar co., S central Tex., at the source of the San Antonio River; inc. 1837. . If August gave you just a taste of Congress, September will present a full plate for everything you'll see and experience in San Antonio with our 1995 NRPA Congress issue. Tourism and commercial development also will be featured here, an appropriate theme since we know you'll be packing to travel with us.

October will focus on fitness and track and field and November will be devoted to safety in the parks and special events. December will complete the 1995 year with a salute to our Armed Forces recreation programs with the military recreation issue.

The topics listed above are just the primary focuses of the issues--there still is room for articles about different topics. We actively encourage all NRPA members to submit articles for the magazine. While we cannot accept every editorial submission we receive, you should be aware that NRPA has many other communication channels which might be interested in your writings as well. For instance, every NRPA branch and section has its own newsletter. NRPA also publishes Friends and Recreation...Access in the '90s. We frequently refer articles to these sources as well. So please don't be shy about calling or writing us.
