World's Largest Seafood Restaurant Chain Partners with America's Top African-American Radio Personality to Provide Much-Needed Scholarships

Long John Silver's(R), Inc. has partnered with the Tom Joyner Thomas "Tom" Joyner (born November 23, 1949) is an American radio host. His daily program, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, is syndicated across the United States and heard by over ten million radio listeners. He is married to fitness guru Donna Richardson.  Foundation to raise much-needed funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States that were established before 1964 with the intention of serving the African American community. They are often liberal arts colleges or universities.  (HBCUs). Throughout 2004, Long John Silver's will donate a portion of the proceeds from each "Tom Joyner Platter" to the Foundation, which works aggressively to keep African-American students in school by providing scholarships.
