Long Island powerbrokers named CBRE's top producers.

In recognition of their achievement as the two top producers in the Long Island office during the past year, prominent real estate executives Richard Karson and Martin Lomazow have been named "CBRE's Long Island Top Producers of the Year" for 2005.

The prestigious award was announced by Patrick Murphy, executive managing director CBRE New York Tri-State Suburban Markets.

"Their attention to detail and client service has earned them the reputation of two of Long Island's most highly regarded executives."

During 2005, the duo, recognized throughout the real estate community as two of its most successful and high-profile real estate executives, consummated more the 26 leasing and sales transactions totaling nearly one million square feet. Some of the most noteworthy accomplishments in the past year include:

Arranging the sale of 100 Duffy Avenue, a two-building complex located in Hicksville, NY. The 420,000 s/f office property, which formerly housed JP Morgan Chase, was acquired by 100 Duffy LLC. In addition, the duo represented Tender Loving Care[R] Health Care Services, Inc. ("TLC"), a leading national provider of Medicare home health care services, in its 46,991-square-foot lease for its corporate headquarters at 1983 & 1981 Marcus Avenue in Lake Success, NY.

Karson has nearly 20 years experience in the commercial real estate industry having represented both landlords and tenants. He has a thorough knowledge of both parties' perspectives, which he uses in analyzing and negotiating transactions. Karson has a substantial track record and expertise in coordinating the myriad of issues and disciplines involved in complex strategic real estate projects. Over the last several years, he has been responsible for four million square feet of leasing transactions for large corporations, law firms, and public agencies such as the City of New York, New York State and the Federal Government.

Karson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He also serves on the Board of Directors of The Long Island Philharmonic.

Lomazow has a 25-year background in both owner and tenant representation assignments. As one of Long Island's most experienced commercial real estate brokers, he has developed strong ties with many of the municipal authorities as well as the most prominent entrepreneurial and institutional property owners and corporations in the region.

Prior to his current position at CBRE, he served as principal/president of Madison Partners of NY, Inc. and Madison Management of NY, Inc., as a Vice President at Broadwall Brokerage & Consulting Inc., and as an Associate at Helmsley-Spear, Inc.

Lomazow earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University. He is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York, The Long Island Association and Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS).
