Long Beach Technology Park is online.Long Beach's newest business park has drawn a lot of attention from businesses looking to expand or relocate. Located in West Long Beach on the site of former U.S. Navy housing, the 32-acre California State University Enrollment Long Beach-based, Corinthian Colleges, will move its National Institute of Technology to the Park in September, relocating approximately 80 employees. Annapolis, Maryland-based, Wartsila North America, is a major supplier of engines (especially for boats), and will bring about 25 employees to its new location. The company is a subsidiary of Finland-based Wartsila Corporation, and is poised to move upon completion of its tenant improvements. The Corinthian and Wartsila leases were executed in the Park's first phase which totals approximately 170,000 square feet of "flex tech" space. This term is used to define buildings whose interiors can be changed relatively easily to accommodate its tenants' needs.
