Working with James Turrell James Turrell (born 1943, Los Angeles) is an artist primarily concerned with light and space. He is best known for his work in progress, Roden Crater. Located outside Flagstaff, Arizona, Turrell is turning this natural cinder volcanic crater into a massive naked-eye , the architects have created a permanent light installation, integrated within the facade, using all 80 of the existing windows. Each window will be lit from within by a series of LEDs to orchestrate or·ches·trate tr.v. or·ches·trat·ed, or·ches·trat·ing, or·ches·trates 1. To compose or arrange (music) for performance by an orchestra. 2. an ever-changing artwork on the facade.
