"V3 represents a dramatic shift in the mechanism by which we deliver the end-user experience. This new approach means network operators will be able to deploy in higher-volume environments and it revolutionizes the business models for revenue-generating networks," said Dr. Simon Lok, CTO (Chief Technical Officer) The executive responsible for the technical direction of an organization. LokBox V3 software has many enhanced capabilities and new features, highlights include:

* Multi-tenant captive portal web application server - The new captive portal delivery infrastructure utilizes mechanisms designed for high-transaction-rate ecommerce websites. This upgrade improves portal latency and transaction rates, resulting in nearly instantaneous forced browser redirects.

* Misconfigured IP Address Routing (MIPAR[TM]) allows the LokBox appliance to automatically route traffic from devices that have incorrect static IP configurations - This feature allows roaming users who have been statically configured by their IT departments (or don't have the knowledge required to modify system preferences/configurations) to access wireless networks without modifying their devices' system configurations or loading 3rd party software.

* LokBox appliance can be configured as a true DNS server A dedicated server or a service within a server that provides DNS name resolution in an IP network. It turns names for Web sites and network resources into numeric IP addresses. DNS servers are used in large companies, in all ISPs and within the DNS system in the Internet, a vital service  - A full DNS server capable of being the authoritative name server for a domain is standard in each appliance. This capability allows operators to specify LokBox appliances as the authoritative DNS (Domain Name System) A system for converting host names and domain names into IP addresses on the Internet or on local networks that use the TCP/IP protocol. For example, when a Web site address is given to the DNS either by typing a URL in a browser or behind the  glue servers when purchasing a domain. It also allows the unit to host LAN-only domains for the purpose of creating local aliases for devices.

* Location-based advertising - The LokBox appliance is capable of displaying different captive portals based on source IP address. By enabling DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Software that automatically assigns temporary IP addresses to client stations logging into an IP network. It eliminates having to manually assign permanent "static" IP addresses. DHCP software runs in servers and routers.  on the radios for specific ranges that are established in advance, the network administrator can effectively associate captive portals with physical locations. Location-specific advertising enables the same advertising real estate on the captive portal to be resold multiple times.

* LokBox data export features for walled gardens, billing, accounting, system configuration - These features enable system administration to create automatic data exports and integrate / import into 3rd party software applications or corporate data repositories A Corporate Data Repository (CDR) is a corporate database or information system used to integrate the information system resources of an organization by sharing a common data model. .

* Group binding of MAC addresses - Configuration enhancements allow users to access the network without logging in A colloquial term for the process of making the initial record of the names of individuals who have been brought to the police station upon their arrest.

The process of logging in is also called booking.
 - critical for Wi-Fi phones, VOIP phones, PDAs and other hand-held or headless network devices.

* Easy-to-read graphical overview of system logistics presented at login

* New LokBox management console interface and the ability to support up to 11 different languages

The V3 Management Console is installed on all LokBox models and has been shipping since mid-October.
