Logistechs Inc. Appoints Flindt as Vice President -- Business Development.

Scottsdale-based Logistechs Inc., an inventory planning and asset management firm, announced today that it has appointed Rene Flindt as vice president of business development.

Flindt, 52, comes to Logistechs from Air Canada where he was manager, Rotable Logistics and Allotments.

Flindt has more than 33 years experience in aircraft maintenance and materials management Materials management is the branch of logistics that deals with the tangible components of a supply chain. Specifically, this covers the acquisition of spare parts and replacements, quality control of purchasing and ordering such parts, and the standards involved in ordering, . At Air Canada in Vancouver, he was directly responsible for more than $162 million U.S. in assets and managed more than 40 employees.

Flindt was instrumental in encouraging Canadian Airlines Canadian Airlines International Ltd. was, from 1987 until 2001, Canada's second largest airline after Air Canada, carrying more than 11.9 million passengers to over 160 destinations in 17 countries on five continents at its height in 1996.  to adopt a system-wide approach to managing material assets using Logistechs proprietary software, k2s: Knowledge to Spare(TM), a software that has now been adopted by Air Canada.
