Logilent to Deliver Cisco Career Certification Courses Via its Proven

Synergy Learning System

This partnership will provide Cisco, Cisco Channel Partners, customers, and Cisco systems' engineers access to one of the most interactive, comprehensive and efficient e-learning services available. Cisco, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, selected Logilent because of its proven e-learning methodology, the Synergy Learning System (SLS). The Synergy Learning System is a blended learning methodology that delivers performance-based, personalized learning objects to students through a Web-enabled browser. Along with Cisco, Logilent co-developed a version of the SLS specifically designed for Cisco Career Certification programs.

Networkers 2001: Logilent's E-Learning Lab

Supplementary to Logilent's delivery of Cisco e-learning and certification courses, attendees of Networkers 2001, the Cisco annual user conferences in Los Angeles and Chicago, will be able to access e-learning solutions in a lab environment custom developed by Logilent as part of the Cisco E-Learning Lab. As part of the "World of Solutions" segment of the conference, Logilent will highlight the dynamic SLS learning environment and will feature RouterLIVE. The SLS consists of the following four components:

-- Pre-Assessment--Students are initially assessed to determine strengths and
weaknesses at the granular objective level. This assessment allows Logilent to
immediately develop a custom training course for each student, which results in
faster learning and greater cost savings.

-- Personalized Lesson Plan--Once the assessment is completed, students are
presented with an objective-based, personalized lesson plan. This comprehensive
roadmap consists of multi-sensory learning tools including books, videos,
lecture notes, live product labs, interactive simulations, communities and
instructor-led training over the Web.

-- Post-Assessment--Once training has concluded, students are evaluated again
to determine whether or not they have mastered all the objectives contained in
the lesson plan.

-- Skills Catalog--The result of this process is a Skills Catalog, which
indexes the objective-level skills each student has mastered during their
interaction with the Synergy Learning System.

RouterLIVE

In order to create an authentic, real-world user experience, Logilent and Cisco have pioneered a proprietary "Live Lab" engine that elevates Logilent and Cisco to the next level of interactive e-learning. This patent-pending, fully integrated platform was custom developed by Logilent. RouterLIVE utilizes Java technology and innovative programming to allow users to control and configure numerous network devices (switches, routers, and non-multi-user systems) in a real-time environment.
