Logidex Developer Tool Downloads Soar; Downloads Double in Last Six Months, Totaling Nearly 5,000 as Design-time Registries and Repositories Become Core to SOA Initiatives.
"The rise in Logidex downloads comes at a time when enterprises are ramping up SOA initiatives. A well-designed repository/registry is where everything comes together on the architectural/development side of SOA," said Alan Himler, vice president of product management and marketing at LogicLibrary.
The Logidex Asset Viewer allows registered users to search the Logidex library to locate key software development assets (SDAs) and associated documentation, code snippets and other related information for viewing and downloading. The library provides access to Sun Microsystems' Java(TM) Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) Core Patterns, Microsoft .NET-based best practices and assets, Microsoft Enterprise Library, and the Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) Reference Models and assets. By making these application blocks available, LogicLibrary is helping developers and architects more efficiently locate and deploy them to meet their technical and business needs.
Microsoft selected the Logidex .NET Library as the first third-party product to be hosted on MSDN three years ago, giving millions of developers and architects invaluable resources that are consistent, extensible and easy to use with Visual Studio. Today more than 40 percent of LogicLibrary's customers rely on the Microsoft development environment. Beginning July 24, the Logidex .NET library will be exclusively available on the Logidex Asset Center. Developers can locate and download assets in the development environment of their choice by visiting www.logidexassetcenter.com.
"Our longstanding partnership with Microsoft and presently MSDN has successfully seeded the marketplace with convenient, powerful tools to solve common enterprise development challenges, resulting in quicker production of high-quality applications and faster return-on-investment. Now we'll move those resources to our own Asset Development Center to provide a single resource for organizations that almost always leverage a combination of .NET, Java, Eclipse and other popular programming languages," added Himler.
