As a member of the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, Patty Loew has written the story of 12 Native Wisconsin people because she has not been satisfied with other histories written to chronicle her people. She has designed this book for young readers (with extra definitions and pronunciation pronunciation: see phonetics; phonology.
