Lockheed gets government pact to automate veterans systems

CALABASAS -- The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Affairs is a term of the business that deals with the relation between a government and its veteran communities, usually administered by the designated government agency.  last week awarded a $153 million contract to Lockheed Integrated Solutions Co. to automate and integrate its information systems nationwide.

The contract is the largest ever offered in automated data processing data processing or information processing, operations (e.g., handling, merging, sorting, and computing) performed upon data in accordance with strictly defined procedures, such as recording and summarizing the financial transactions of a  by the department, which is seeking to integrate and modernize mod·ern·ize
