Lockheed Martin's Naval Electronics & Surveillance is experienced with all aspects of flight simulator flight simulator, device providing a controlled environment in which a flight trainee can experience conditions approximating those of actual flight. A simulator generally consists of an enclosure housing a working replica of the interior of the cockpit of an  training systems. The company is prime contractor on the Air Force Special Operations Forces Those Active and Reserve Component Air Force forces designated by the Secretary of Defense that are specifically organized, trained, and equipped to conduct and support special operations. Also called AFSOF. , Aircraft Tactical Systems and F-15E Weapons Systems Trainer programs. LM-NE&SS also is providing a flight-simulation and training system for Sweden's JAS-39 "Gripen" fighter.

In addition, LM-NE&SS supplies the military with guidance and imaging sensors, lighter-than-air surveillance systems and anti-submarine weapons.

In 2000, the United Arab Emirates United Arab Emirates, federation of sheikhdoms (2005 est. pop. 2,563,000), c.30,000 sq mi (77,700 sq km), SE Arabia, on the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.  contracted with LM-NE&SS for the F-16 Desert Falcon Block 60 training system at a cost of $50 million over a seven-year period. LM-NE&SS also will supply support integration and a mission observation center for interface between the F-16 and the Mirage 2000-9 training systems for the UAE (Uninterruptible Application Error) The name given to a crash in Windows 3.0. In subsequent versions of Windows, a crash was called a "General Protection Fault," "Application Error" or "Illegal Operation." See crash in Windows and abend. .
