Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is a leading multinational aerospace manufacturer and advanced technology company formed in 1995 by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta.
 Corp., Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, Syracuse, N.Y., is being awarded a $14,000,000 contract for the Pacific Alaska Range Complex Long-Range Radar System to provide a transportable radar, which includes one TPS-77 radar, power generation equipment, microwave equipment, peculiar support equipment, critical spares and operation and maintenance training. The TPS-77 radar is composed of a three dimensional L-Band primary surveillance radar and a monopoles secondary surveillance radar Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) is a radar system used in air traffic control (ATC), which not only detects and measures the position of aircraft but also requests additional information from the aircraft itself such as its identity and altitude. . The system provides air surveillance information to be used in the conduct of air sovereignty operations. At this time, $7,000,000 of the funds has been obligated ob·li·gate
