Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) is a leading multinational aerospace manufacturer and advanced technology company formed in 1995 by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta.

The C3I System will be installed on NSSN-class submarines and primarily provides sonar, combat control, exterior communications, electronic surveillance measures and imaging functions, along with supporting subsystems. Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is expected to be completed by October 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. NAVSEA consists of four shipyards, eight "warfare centers" (two undersea and six surface), four major shipbuilding locations and the NAVSEA headquarters, , Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
