) production contract (N00024-00-C-5139) for 1,600 items of spare and repair parts to support the Aegis Combat System The Aegis combat system is an integrated missile guidance system used by the United States Navy. It is both an integrated single ship system and a ship-to-ship network. The Aegis combat system is one of the most advanced and most capable defense systems currently in use. . These parts include phase shift drivers, circuit card assemblies, converters, and data converters. The NAVSEA contract supports the SPY-1 Radar System. Work will be performed in Moorestown, N.J., and is expected to be completed by March 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, Pa., is the contracting activity.
