Vysym Corp.'s new line of TALTS automated voice-response systems will take calls from prospective borrowers all day long, every day. Enabled by automatic speech-recognition technology, loan applicants can obtain loan information including repayment amounts, interest rates, fees, Lending policies, and collateral requirements. They can fill out loan applications and receive instant approvals during the same call.

The system permits Lenders to package promotional presentations and to employ built-in credit analysis programs.

Most important, says Vysym spokesman Samm Nadel, is the use of automatic speech recognition to simplify the loan process.

"Talking is so much faster than pushing buttons or typing on a keyboard. It is a natural process for everyone over the age of four."
