CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2000

Max Taylor Max Taylor is Professor of International Relations at the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) in the School of International Relations, University of St Andrews; prior to that, he was Professor of Applied Psychology at University College Cork, Ireland , 52, who completes three years in office as chairman of Lloyd's at the end of this month, will be joining Aon Corporation, on a full-time basis, starting Tuesday, January 2, 2001.

Before becoming chairman of Lloyd's at the beginning of 1998, Max Taylor had spent the prior 27 years in the insurance brokerage industry, where he had various senior executive management positions.

Max Taylor was a board member of the US insurance industry's communications organization, the Insurance Information Institute (III). He is the former chairman of the London Insurance Market Network (LIMNET LIMNET London Insurance Market Network ) - an interactive electronic network for processing insurance contracts and a past director of the World Insurance Network (WIN) - a network for transacting business electronically. He is a director of WISe (the Worldwide Insurance e-commerce organisation). He is also a past chairman of the Lloyd's Insurance Brokers Committee and is the current president of the Insurance Institute of London.
