Lizzie's bold art style; Exhibition.

ARTIST Lizzie Van Dottie has a new show in Marsden.

Though based in Ashton-under Lyne, Lizzie is delighted to be showing her work in Month of Sundaes, the coffee shop and ice cream parlour which is gaining quite a reputation for providing a gallery space for artists.

Lizzie says she paints in her kitchen which can restrict the size of canvas that she can work on.

She likes to use a diverse variety of mediums in her work from acrylics and pastel to oils.

Lizzie won a Thameside In Bloom contest with a container garden Container gardening is the practice of growing plants exclusively in containers or "pots", instead of planting them in the ground. In some cases, this method of growing is used for ornamental purposes.  a couple of years ago and that inspired her to paint flower related subjects though in an abstract form.

She's also done life studies, been inspired by trips to Morocco and works in a bold, dramatic style.

Dancing on Ice is a British television show, in which celebrities and their professional partners dance on ice in front of a panel of judges.
 star singer Suzanne Shaw Suzanne Shaw (born Suzanne Croshaw on September 29 1981 in Bury, Greater Manchester, England) is an English actress, television personality and sometime singer most famous for winning the first series of the talent contest Popstars , says her new exhibition will run in Marsden until the end of the month.

Month of Sundaes opens Mondays to Saturdays from 8.30am to 6pm and on Sundays from 12 until 5pm.
