Living in a world where love and harmony are the norm.

Byline: FROM HEART TO HEART By Michi Okuda For The Register-Guard

I have been focusing on a world where we live in love and harmony with nature and with each other, where the norm is to live in community with unconditional love This article is about concept of unconditional love. For other uses, see Unconditional love (disambiguation).

In order to extend this love out to others, I believe that it helps to feel this love within ourselves first. To bring oneself Verb 1. bring oneself - cause to undertake a certain action, usually used in the negative; "He could not bring himself to call his parents"

to this place involves letting go of expectations about how we should be and to accept ourselves for who and what we are. We must honor our strengths and perceived weaknesses.

Realizing that we are connected to divine love has helped me immensely in my work on reaching this place within myself. When I am conscious of my connection to a divine source, I feel a "river of love" that nourishes the love within me. When I am aware of my oneness with divine love, I see that we are all one. I understand that what I do to others I am ultimately doing to myself, since at one level of my being I realize that there is no other.

I believe we are all one with divine source. If we can consciously maintain this connection and state of being in our daily lives, then I believe we can create a world with love and harmony. When we stay focused on the oneness of all that is, we will be on our path to realizing a world where love and harmony reign.

How do we reach this feeling of love and oneness in our daily lives? During the day, when I feel the need, I take time to go within and connect to the inner light within myself. Dancing, singing and walking in nature also help me reach this state. I make an effort to see the good in all people and the events that happen in my life.

This feeling of love and oneness can be extended from brief moments to much longer periods of time. I met a person who told me that she maintains this state as she focuses on the spiritual perfection Perfection

I believe that divine source is infinite and that love and support are the norm. When I follow my bliss and stay more in line with my inner needs, as well as maintain a connection with the divine, I have fewer roadblocks in my life.

Flowing with the "river of love" is a lot easier than fighting it. When I operate from a place of fear and disconnection dis·con·nect

This is the world that I want to live in.
