LiveData and Barco Control Rooms to Demonstrate Real-Time Control Room Solutions at DistribuTECH 2005.

The companies recently entered into a joint marketing relationship, and will present real-time visualization solutions at the upcoming DistribuTECH Conference and Exhibition, January 25-27 in San Diego, California.

Barco offers industry-leading control room display solutions, while LiveData provides real-time data capture, integration, dashboard, and historian capabilities. Together, the companies present unsurpassed abilities for continuous visual and computer-aided monitoring of real-time operations. Both companies are exhibiting at DistribuTECH 2005, and will present a joint demonstration in the Barco pavilion (Booth 1024).

LiveData will present its next generation of real-time monitoring, executive dashboard, and data historian software, utilizing Barco's operator console and wall display systems. LiveData RTI Release 5.0 software will simulate the capture and flow of real-time between multiple generation stations and a control center EMS system. LiveData Dashboard will present mission-critical data graphically, viewed through the operator's web browser. Any number of browser windows may be opened on the Barco display system, enabling operators to dynamically monitor and analyze operating elements at will. LiveData Historian will capture and archive continuously flowing data for ongoing analysis and graphic presentation on the Barco display wall.

Barco Control Rooms will demonstrate iUtilities, a total control room visualization solution. iUtilities delivers dynamic content on one large surface, showing everything the operators need to see: process overviews (grids, pipes, valves), live video (CCTV cameras, vision cameras, weather channels), expertise systems, simulations, and more. This display is capable of handling numerous and diverse real-time images without compromising processor performance. System operators gain instant visual awareness, and are able to visually synthesize what is occurring instantly, without having to browse through different screens. Everything is there, in clear view, in real-time.
