Litton Systems Inc., Guidance and Control Systems Division, Woodland Hills, Calif., is being awarded a $15,762,982 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of CN-1649/ASN-139 Inertial Navigation Noun 1. inertial navigation - a method of controlling the flight of a missile by devices that respond to inertial forces

This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy ($12,479,460 - 79%) and the governments of Egypt ($2,089,514 - 13%), Taiwan ($895,506 - 6%) and France ($298,502 - 2%) under the Foreign Military Sales That portion of United States security assistance authorized by the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, and the Arms Export Control Act of 1976, as amended. This assistance differs from the Military Assistance Program and the International Military Education and Training Program  Program. Salt Lake City is the capital and the most populous city of the U.S. state of Utah. The name of the city is often shortened to Salt Lake, or its initials, S.L.C.
 (90%), and Woodland Hills, Calif. (10%), and is expected to be completed in December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Warfare Center The Naval Air Warfare Center was a former U.S. Navy military installation located in Warminster, Pennsylvania and Ivyland, Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Navy purchased the grounds to establish this facility from the Brewster Aeronautical Corporation following its bankruptcy in the
 Aircraft Division, Patuxent River The Patuxent River is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay in the state of Maryland. There are three main river drainages for central Maryland: the Potomac River to the west passing through Washington D.C. , Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-01-C-0260). The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N00039-01-C-2226).
