Litton Selected for Groundbreaking Government Patient Record Program.


WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1998--Litton's PRC subsidiary has been selected as the prime integrator for the first task delivery order of the Government - Computer-based Patient Record computer-based patient record Electronic medical record Health informatics A 'personal health library' providing access to all resources on a Pt's health history and insurance information  (G-CPR) program.

Task orders for G-CPR will be issued under the newly awarded D/SIDDOMS D/SIDDOMS Design, Development, Operations and Maintenance Services
D/SIDDOMS Defense Medical Information Systems/Systems Integration, Design Development, Operations and Maintenance Services (US DoD contract) 
 II (Defense Medical Information Systems/Systems Integration, Design, Development, Operations & Maintenance Services) Lot III contract. D/SIDDOMS II is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ ID/IQ Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity
ID/IQ Indefinite Duration/Indefinite Quantity
) contract awarded in April 1998 to PRC and six other contractors with a ceiling value of $2.5 billion. The potential value of Litton's first G-CPR task order is approximately $20 million.

The G-CPR is a paperless health-care record that is confidential and comprehensive, and captures all health-related information received by an individual over a lifetime. The information contained in the health-care record includes health service encounter, health status and clinical problems.

The G-CPR adheres to appropriate standards and guidelines governing privacy, data and messaging required for communication between Government and civilian health-care providers.

The new contract is also available for use by other government agencies to support their informatics needs.
