Little coextruder, big energy savings. The second extruder built in North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. with a gearless permanent-magnet torque motor is a new coextruder from Addex Inc., Stoughton, Mass. (The first machine of this type was built a few months ago by L Davis-Standard. Both new extruders will be shown at NPE NPE NullPointerException (Java) NPE Network Processing Engine NPE National Policy on Education NPE National Plastics Exposition NPE Natural Penis Enlargement NPE Nutrition Program for the Elderly this month in Chicago.) Addex's gearless Slimline coextruder has 70 mm diam. and 30:1 L/D L/D Labor and Delivery L/D Lethal Dose L/D Lift/Drag (ratio) L/D Low Dynamic L/D Limiter/Discriminator L/D Loading / Discharging Rate (shipping) . It uses a new 100-hp gearless torque motor from Baumuller in Germany. Having no gears saves space in a crowded circle of seven or nine extruders. Gears also waste energy as frictional heat, which dissipates in the plant and can disrupt the bubble. Synchronous torque motors are water-cooled and dissipate dis·si·pate v. dis·si·pat·ed, dis·si·pat·ing, dis·si·pates v.tr. 1. To drive away; disperse. 2. 37% less energy than standard DC motors or 30% less than AC motors, Addex says. Baumuller is developing a larger motor for a 90-mm Addex extruder.
