"Email Reader Plus gives the mobile worker a quick way to respond to email messages that arrive while traveling out of the office," said Roeland van Krieken, Millennia's president and co-founder. "For the first time, technology is enabling the mobile professional to conveniently stay in touch with their work environment without taking any device on the road. All they need is access to any phone."

Email Reader Plus is based on technology introduced by Millennia Software late last year with the commercial availability of Email Reader(TM). This technology enables users to call their personal computer from any telephone, talk to it, and have the PC talk back to them with the requested information or action. Millennia's products are the first PC telephony software products that do not require special voice-processing equipment to take advantage of advanced technologies like voice recognition and text-to-speech. All that is required is an Intel Pentium(TM) PC running at 75 MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  or faster, the Microsoft Windows See Windows.

Millennia's software products are based on the AT&T Watson(TM) voice-processing technology and on the company's own patent-pending VoiceLINK(TM) engine.
