Liquid curing peroxides.PMT See photomultiplier tube. is a liquid peroxide peroxide (pərŏk`sīd), chemical compound containing two oxygen atoms, each of which is bonded to the other and to a radical or some element other than oxygen; e.g. (trioxepane family) for use as a crosslinking agent for synthetic and natural rubbers, silicones, as well as plastic resins such as polyethylene and TPEs. PMT is an approximately 95% active peroxide and is designed for polymers that are processed at higher temperatures of 200[degrees]C and above. PMT also is utilized for polymer modification. PMT is said to provide compounders with the maximum scorch safety in peroxide cured materials. As a result, cure times will be longer unless curing temperatures are raised to compensate. This peroxide is said to be very stable thermally and is reactive at temperatures of 25-30[degrees]C higher than any other peroxide currently available, thus it can be used at higher processing temperatures of 200[degrees]C and above, according to according to prep. 1. As stated or indicated by; on the authority of: according to historians. 2. In keeping with: according to instructions. 3. the company. PMT is an appropriate peroxide selection for salt bath and fluidized beds A fluidized bed is formed when a quantity of a solid particulate substance (usually present in a holding vessel) is forced to behave as a fluid; usually by the forced introduction of pressurised gas through the particulate medium. , improved scorch safety and more.
