Lipicard's PLATROL(R) - Far Superior to Any other Antiplatelet Drug in Research Pipeline.

HYDERABAD, India -- Lipicard Technologies' PLATROL(R) is a novel antiplatelet drug with 40% higher efficacy and near-zero toxicity compared to Aspirin & Clopidogrel. The only other new antiplatelet drugs in the research pipeline are Nitric Oxide (NO) releasing Aspirin derivatives, which are clinically inferior to PLATROL(R).

Nitric oxide (NO) donating derivatives of aspirin, statin stat·in
n.
Any of a class of drugs that inhibit a key enzyme involved in the synthesis of cholesterol and promote receptor binding of LDL cholesterol, resulting in decreased levels of serum cholesterol.
and other drugs have been in the press claiming therapeutic benefits for various maladies such as cardiovascular, diabetic, and erectile dysfunction. NO derivatives are composed of Nitric Oxide (NO) molecule attached to a pre-existing active drug such as aspirin. This attachment is effected via a "spacer" or "link" group. It was postulated that resulting molecules are NO releasing drugs, purported to possess therapeutic benefits.

Clinical trials of the marketed NO releasing drugs have shown that they have significant toxic side effects, including severe and persistent headaches and are neurotoxic neurotoxic

Furthermore, when the links or spacers undergo metabolism in the human body, release highly toxic industrial solvents and refrigerants Chemical refrigerants are assigned an R number(sometimes the label replaces it with the word Freon) which is determined systematically according to molecular structure. The following is a list of refrigerants with their R numbers, IUPAC chemical name, molecular formula, and CAS number.  such as 1-4 butanediol or Meta hydroxyl hydroxyl /hy·drox·yl/ (hi-drok´sil) the univalent radical OH.

The univalent radical or group OH, a characteristic component of bases, certain acids, phenols, alcohols, carboxylic

PLATROL(R) is the best alternative for Aspirin or Clopidogrel for long-term cardiac protection. Unlike PLATROL(R), a number of marketed NO donating drugs have exhibited severe side effects and toxicity in clinical trials, confirming very low therapeutic index.

Lipicard's earlier survey has shown that leading US Cardiologists are ready to prescribe PLATROL(R) as and when approved and available.
