Lionshead Signs Agreement to Distribute Advanced EKG System and Completes Reorganization.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BW HealthWire)--Oct. 22, 1997-- Lionshead Electronic Diagnostics Inc. (NASDAQ/BB:LHED) has signed an agreement with The Senior Broadcasting Network Inc. (SBN) to divest all of the company's entertainment-related assets in exchange for one share of SBN's common stock for each share of Lionhead Entertainment Corp. common stock held by shareholders of record on Nov. 1.

Lionshead has signed an agreement to become the exclusive worldwide distributor for the EMPI FJM-1, an advanced cardiac diagnosis system manufactured by International Heart Diagnosis Instruments Inc. (IHDI) of New York. The EMPI system received from the FDA a 510K approval to market and to identify coronary heart disease. The clinical studies, submitted to FDA and conducted at Stanford University of Palo Alto, Calif., and Riverside Methodist Hospital of Ohio, show the EMPI system to be 92% effective at detecting heart disease.

Proposals have been received from two consulting groups for FDA regulatory to assist in implementing an efficacy study of 1,000 patients. The results of the study are expected to be published in prominent medical journals. The data collected from the study will be used for new applications to the FDA which will provide for the use of the system in its capabilities of differentiating eight different types of heart disease (the Stanford University study has already shown an 83% to 94% accuracy for this differential diagnosis capability) and a new model for early heart attack. The sales projections provided by IHDI for the next four years should be in excess of $75 million.

Lionshead has completed a major restructuring and will shortly be announcing the members of the Board of Directors and appointment of the new executive officers.
