LinuxWorld Conference & Expo Names Finalists for Product Excellence Awards; IBM, Novell, Red Hat, HP, Mozilla Foundation, Appro and Rackable Systems finalists in multiple categories; Winners announced next week in San Francisco.

 World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets around the globe, today announced finalists for the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards, to be presented at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo(R) next week in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden . Judged by a group of respected industry experts managed by LinuxWorld Magazine, the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards recognize product and service innovations by LinuxWorld exhibitors. Winners will be announced in a ceremony at the event on Tuesday, August 9 at 4:30 p.m.

LinuxWorld Conference & Expo runs August 8-11, 2005 at Moscone Center The Moscone Center is San Francisco, California's largest convention and exhibition complex. The complex consists of two main underground halls underneath Yerba Buena Gardens, Moscone North and Moscone South, as well the three-level Moscone West exhibition hall across 4th Street.  West. The LinuxWorld exhibit hall floor opens on Tuesday, August 9 at 10:00 a.m. Exhibit hall passes are free on or before August 7, 2005 - passes cost $35.00 thereafter. The LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards are divided into 13 product categories, representing major areas of innovation in the Linux and Open Source community. The judges will also select one product or service that represents a major step forward for Linux in the marketplace as "Best of Show."
