Link Wray and the Kay Men.From the amazing but pricey LP file comes a reissue of Link Wray Fred Lincoln "Link" Wray Jr (May 2, 1929 – November 5, 2005) was an American rock and roll guitar player most noted for pioneering a new sound for electric guitars in his hit 1958 instrumental "Rumble", by Link Wray and his Ray Men. and the Kay Men 1964 LP Jack the Ripper Jack the Ripper, name given to an unidentified late-19th-century murderer in London, England. From Aug. to Nov., 1888, he was responsible for the death and mutilation of at least seven female prostitutes in the East End section of London. , on Sundazed records Sundazed Records is a record label based in Coxsackie, in the Catskills of New York. It specializes in obscure and rare recordings from the 1950s to the 1970s. Label founders Bob Irwin and his wife Mary started the label in 1989. and on 180-gram heavy vinyl. The sound quality is amazing, and it's some of his best stuff; early garage instrumentals that predate the time when instrumentals almost exclusively came with the word "surf" in front of them. |
