) today announced that its Link Simulation and Training division has been awarded a $6.4 million firm-fixed-price contract by the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base, OK for the lease and maintenance of Boeing 737 aircraft that will be used for in-flight training of E-6 Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO TACAMO Take Charge & Move Out ) flight crews.

Link will provide program management, scheduling and quality assurance services, and has contracted with AAR Aar, river: see Aare.  Aircraft Services of Oklahoma City, OK to provide the Boeing 737 aircraft leases and maintenance support. The initial award covers a period of performance from May to September 2001 and includes three annual options for Link to provide continued aircraft lease and maintenance services through September 2004, for a total potential contract value of over $50 million.

"Under a separate contract, Link is supporting ground-based and in-flight training for the E-6 flight crews at Tinker Air Force Base. The Navy's E-6 TACAMO provides airborne command, control, and communications between the National Command Authority and U.S. strategic and non-strategic forces. E-6 squadrons are based at Tinker Air Force Base, where all of the aircraft's training operations are conducted.
