New Information Management Capability, The Data Workshop,

Can Provide Management of Business and Personal Information

Linguistic Technology today announced English Wizard A natural language query program from EasyAsk, a division of Progress Software, Bedford, MA (www.easyask.com), that can access any SQL-based database. It was authored by Dr. Larry Harris, founder of EasyAsk, and a long-time expert in database systems and computerized natural language.  Release 2.1, the first query tool that eliminates the gap between the way business users think and the way software works, providing a simple solution for all levels of users in an organization.

The new Data Workshop feature combines the convenience of asking business questions using conversational English, with the power to analyze, format and publish information using a Microsoft Excel- compatible spreadsheet. This marriage of the English language English language, member of the West Germanic group of the Germanic subfamily of the Indo-European family of languages (see Germanic languages). Spoken by about 470 million people throughout the world, English is the official language of about 45 nations.  with the spreadsheet makes English Wizard 2.1 the only query tool to successfully meet the broad range of needs in today's end-user query market.

Long time customer Cascade Information Systems, in implementing English Wizard 2.1 with their InfoCenter medical records abstracting application, found that the new Data Workshop satisfies the most requested enhancement among English Wizard users.

"English Wizard's new Data Workshop will help enable health care professionals at our client hospitals to access and analyze medical records in time to make a difference in the quality of care delivered," said Suzanne Weiss, systems analyst at Cascade.

She went on to say, "The new built-in test drive combined with English Wizard's intuitive interface gets users up and running in less than an hour, which makes it more cost-effective to deploy on a wide scale to less technical users."

Greatly Expanded Productivity for Both End Users and Developers
