Lindsey Haun: hot hot hot!

If you haven't seen Lindsey as 16-year-old Dixie Delton alongside Toby Reith in Broken Bridges, now in theaters, maybe you've caught her belting out the film's theme song "Broken" on CMT CMT Certified Medical Transcriptionist.

. The girl is loud and proud ... and we are WOWed!

GL: You're 21, so how was it to step into the role of a teenager?

LH: Well, the producers had said to me that the minute I arrived on set I should act 16, be 16, dress 16--everything I did when I was 16. So it was really cool. I really liked getting back into that skin with the perspective I have now. It was interesting to explore myself in that way again. I even packed all my clothes I used to wear.

Were they outdated?

No! I was really into punk. I was very alternative when I was younger. I was in a hard rock band so it wasn't really any clothes that could go out of style, ya know what I mean? The punk thing is now in, so it was completely appropriate for now!

Did you paint your nails black?

Um, actually, we painted them silver-blue because I think that is even more hardcore than black anymore.

Tell us more about the character.

Dixie is from Miami. She's in a thrash-rock band, is very rebellious re·bel·lious

. And then my character realizes why she is what she is and how she gets the music thing from her father. This thing that has made her feel so different is what helps her connect with her father.

What is your relationship like with your real parents?

My father is a musician! We definitely bond through music. I love him as a producer. My mother was a choreographer cho·re·o·graph

So what is Toby Keith like?

Toby is fantastic. He is just so awesome. He is that guy you want to be friends with. It was so easy working with him because he really respects artistic integrity. On top of that, he is just a fun guy, really goofy Goofy

Did you form any other friendships on set?

Yes! Kelly Preston Kelly Kamalelehua Palzis Preston-Travolta (born October 13, 1962) is an American model and occasional actress best known for being the wife of actor John Travolta since 1991. Early life

and I text-messaged each other the other day. I was letting her know about my video premiere. And she was like, "Oh, I am so excited!" So Kelly and I are very cool. But one of my closest friends came from that set. His name is Seth Chalmers. He played a friend in the movie. I am really, really great friends with him and his wife Kim now. , so she helped me design all of my outfits for this tour. We went shopping for days!

You're touring with Toby, right?

Yeah, halfway through Toby's set, he shows the trailer for the movie, and I come on and sing "Broken" with his band. Then, he and I sing our duet. It's really amazing a·maze

Have you performed live before?

I was in a hard-rock band called Seventh Fall for five years--we got together when we were 15--and toured all around L.A. I was the lead singer. It was really great because it was a way for me to develop my stage presence--how I relate with the audience and work the stage. I did all those famous Sunset clubs, so I am used to playing for 200 to 500 people but I have never done the 20,000 thing.

Do you play any instruments?

I used to play piano and alto-saxophone, but I don't think I could play any of those instruments now to save my life. But I can play guitar!

Do you dance since your morn is a choreographer?

Yeah! I have grown up dancing with her, and I danced in a couple movies I've done. One of them was the Britney Spears film [Brave New Girl], produced by her. Britney handpicked me. She hung out with us, and was really sweet and nice. I had a great experience with Britney, and I owe her a lot! But I think when I was younger I wanted to do my own thing, and really pushed away from the dancing and wanted to act. Now, I'm like, "Why didn't you force me?" But I do have a lot of technique from just being around my mother.

So will you pull off any moves during the tour?

No, I don't think so. That would really be fun, though. Maybe I can get Toby in on the act.

You just signed a record deal, didn't you?

Yeah, with Toby. With Show Dog, his label.

Is this a country music label?

It's a country label. However, I am their crossover artist.

What if you had to choose between acting and music?

I couldn't. I wouldn't be able to choose. They are both such a part of me, and I don't really separate the two. I think the industry really does Warren Trotter, better known as Really Doe, is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. He is affiliated with Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. Music family and label.  but, in me, it's the same type of process. However, with acting, that's sort of my way of escaping from myself and living in someone else's skins. Whereas, with singing, it's how I deal with my problems and get comfortable inside my own skin. I really need them both. And we think they both need you, Miss Mega Talent.
