Countess Sonja Bernadotte, president of the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, will present the honours during the official opening of the Second Meeting of the Holders of the Prize in Economic Sciences, awarded by the Bank of Sweden in memory of Alfred Nobel, to be held in Lindau on August 17th, 2006. The award ceremony will be attended by the German president, Horst Kohler. The accolade for Prof. Kagermann and Dr. Knight is in recognition of their efforts in developing the Lindau dialogue into a global platform of exchange between the leading scientific authorities of today and the elite of tomorrow.
