Come spring, Turner Construction Turner Construction Company is one of the largest construction management companies in the United States with a construction volume of $8.5 billion in 2006. According to Engineering News-Record  Company will get the shovels in the ground for the reconstruction of West 65th Street corridor. The Center's board of directors has also approved concept designs for the Josie Robertson Plaza/Columbus Avenue project and nominated Katherine G. Farley, senior managing director of Tishman Speyer, as chairman of the Lincoln Center Redevelopment Project.

According to Betsy Vorce, a spokesperson for the Center, the entire redevelopment will likely take a very long time because the Center wants to avoid having several performing spaces closed at the same time.

"This is a series of independent projects and they can't coincide--we have performances going on," she said. "For example, for the first project, the Alice Tully Hall will be closed and that's why in all likelihood we won't start working on Avery Fisher Hall until that is complete."
