Ligna announces three special programs.


Ligna-Plus, the World Fair for the Forestry and Wood Industries, will host a number of specialized spe·cial·ize  
v. spe·cial·ized, spe·cial·iz·ing, spe·cial·iz·es

 programs during its May 2-6, 2005, run. Three programs recently announced include:

* Artistry art·ist·ry  
n.
1. Artistic ability: a sculptor of great artistry.

2. Artistic quality or craft: the artistry of a poem.
 in Wood, which integrates woodcrafts, artistry and design will include judged products by approximately 40 artists of sculptures, crafts and other artistic products made from wood.

* Energy from Wood, which will incorporate "From a Tree to Fuel," will feature a series of presentations designed to showcase mature technologies for thermal applications that use wood. Highlights include demonstrations of chippers, saws and splitters, as well as wood-burning ovens and automatic wood chip and pellet-fired furnaces.

* 14th International Symposium on Nondestructive Testing Nondestructive testing (NDT), also called nondestructive evaluation (NDE) and nondestructive inspection (NDI), is testing that does not destroy the test object. NDE is vital for constructing and maintaining all types of components and structures.  of Wood, which is a biennial biennial, plant requiring two years to complete its life cycle, as distinguished from an annual or a perennial.
