Lightning Rod Software Adds Three Board Members; Forms Executive Committee to Evaluate Opportunities for Company.

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 2001

Lightning Rod Software, Inc. (OTCBB:LROD) today announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors. Sheldon T. Fleck and James S. Murphy, both local businessmen, and Thomas J. Schrade, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, have accepted positions on the Company's Board. The Board of Directors has also approved the formation of an Executive Committee charged with evaluating the potential of the licensing arrangement with the Company's principal software-licensing partner and evaluating the potential of other business opportunities. Appointed to the Executive Committee were Thomas J. Patin, the Company's General Counsel and acting Chief Executive Officer, and Sheldon T. Fleck.

He is currently Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration and Chief Finanical Officer of Hypertension Diagnostics, Inc., a publicly held company. Thomas Schrade has successfully participated in a wide variety of industries including restaurants, real estate development, gaming, and entertainment. He is currently President of a number of privately held companies.
