Enigma is a new pendant pendant

In architecture, a sculpted ornament suspended from a vault or ceiling, especially an elongated boss (carved keystone) at the junction of the intersecting ribs of the fan vaulting associated with the English Perpendicular style.
inspired by Japanese lighting culture, sharing the lighting philosophy of glare-free, comfortable light. Enigma was designed in collaboration with Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama, who set up as independent lighting designer in Tokyo in 1977. With this new pendant, Shoichi Uchiyama strove strove

to create an illusion of wings of light, hovering in the air. Enigma weighs only 1.5kg and, despite its very simple design, the pendant offers extremely sophisticated lighting technique and excellent light distribution. Enigma has both indirect and direct light emission. Held together by an ultra-thin steel wire, the shades are sand-blasted acrylic which is easy to clean. Enigma is ideal over a dining table in private residences, but the pendant is equally perfect for meeting and conference facilities, restaurants and cafes all over the world.

Io is a new basic fixture designed for wall or ceiling mounting by Merete Christensen and Bo Seedorff. Named Io after one of Jupiter's moons, the fitting is inspired by their appearances as glowing discs. Io can be combined with a decorative system of rings that will change the character of the fixture. Any of a family of alloy steels usually containing 10–30% chromium. The presence of chromium, together with low carbon content, gives remarkable resistance to corrosion and heat.
. The decorative system allows Io to be used in even more locations. Io is designed with a moulded, shock-resistant polycarbonate shade, and its simple design and minimal height make the fixture perfect for mounting in stairways, basements, lavatories, kitchens, lunch rooms and other areas needing solid and reliable construction. The fixture comes in two sizes: 320mm and 400mm in diameter.

All fittings are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications, with polyethylene diffusers, and are available in two colours. These glowing Blob lamps are distinctive and will be obviously dramatic in any space. With their warm glow and soft curves they will certainly help sustain the love affair that designers have with soft organic objects--an affair that is particularly appropriate when considering furniture and the reality of human touch. After all, what is the point of making a blob unless you can run your hand over it to exploit the attributes that the designers so often extol ex·tol also ex·toll
