Alliance will Enable Advanced Electronic Medical Record Functionality for the CareTracker System

LAS VEGAS -- LighthouseMD, a leading provider of revenue cycle management, integrated practice management and EMR solutions to medical groups, today announced a partnership with Medicomp Systems, the developer of MEDCIN[R] intelligent database of clinical documentation. This alliance will provide the company's physician practice customers with advanced electronic medical record (EMR) functionality when using the CareTracker practice management and EMR system.

Using the MEDCIN database, CareTracker's EMR system will include more than 270,000 clinical data elements covering symptoms, history, physical examination, tests, diagnoses and therapy, and will enable users to rapidly enter, retrieve, and correlate relevant clinical information at the point of care.

Planned for early 2007, the full EMR functionality of CareTracker will allow physicians to record patient data using an intuitive point-and-click system - creating a distinct medical record. CareTracker users will also be able to incorporate their own custom data sets and templates into the system.

Using the CareTracker EMR system, physicians will avoid delays due to cumbersome manual documentation and illegible notes at the point of care. Also, through a single-click search, physicians can instantly retrieve electronic patient charts, encounter notes, patient vitals, history, review of systems, procedure notes, medical assessments and plans.

Current CareTracker clinical functionality includes the ability for users to capture each visit in an electronic patient record; automate order processing, including prescriptions, referrals, lab requisitions and testing; track allergies, immunizations and diagnostic history; and capture and store clinical images.
