Cogent COGENT - COmpiler and GENeralized Translator  Light Technologies, Inc., has released the SolarTec[TM] Source 270. Based on its proprietary Micro Illumination illumination, in art
illumination, in art, decoration of manuscripts and books with colored, gilded pictures, often referred to as miniatures (see miniature painting); historiated and decorated initials; and ornamental border designs.
 [R] optical platform, the new SolarTec Source 270 offers the next generation of sunlight-quality illumination priced at less than $4,500 for a complete headlight system. With an average lamp life of 2,000 hours and an operating cost of approximately $0.45 per hour, the SolarTec Source 270 and Micro Link [R] Headlight System provide higher performance at a significantly lower price.

The SolarTec Source 270 is the first medical light source to combine new lamp technology with optimized light delivery to either single plastic fibers or conventional fiber bundles (1) A set of adjacent optical fibers running in parallel and adhered together. It is used for transmitting light to brighten an area as well as transmitting whole images, but not for digital communications.
