The person you're lifting sits in a chair--hands in lap, feet on floor--facing west or north Four others stand in a square around the chair--two at the shoulders two at the knees. Lifters, clench fists, extending index and middle fingers. Palms facing down, place fingers under the seated person's armpits and knees. Lift! ... Nothing, right? OK, now, someone places a right hand the sitter's head. The next person places her hand on that one, and so on. Then, place left hands on top of the rights until all hands are stacked. (No two hands of the same person can touch.) Together, start counting. When you get to 9, swiftly remove hands from her head and ... on 10, lift her. Up she goes! Keep counting, and let her down slowly.
