Librados Inc., the company that's changing the economics of the adapter business, today announced an agreement where Librados will support the Sun Java(TM) Enterprise System with Librados' family of more than 50 pre-built Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (language, programming) Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition - (J2EE) Sun's Java platform for multi-tier server-oriented enterprise applications.

The basis of J2EE is Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB).

 J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) A platform from Sun for building distributed enterprise applications. J2EE services are performed in the middle tier between the user's machine and the enterprise's databases and legacy information systems.
