Liberating theology. (News: signs of the times).NOTRE DAME, Indiana Notre Dame, Indiana is an unincorporated community northeast of South Bend in St. Joseph County, Indiana; it includes the campuses of three colleges: the University of Notre Dame, Saint Mary's College, and Holy Cross College. -- More than 30 years after Gustavo Gutierrez's groundbreaking book The Theology of Liberation, many of the greatest minds in theology gathered in November at the University of Notre Dame Notre Dame IPA: [nɔtʁ dam] is French for Our Lady, referring to the Virgin Mary. In the United States of America, Notre Dame to explore "The Option for the Poor in Christian Theology." Sponsored by Notre Dame's department of theology and Institute for Latino Studies, the conference attracted academics, students, and church workers to discuss where the liberation movement stands in the current context.
