Fax Enhancements

Convenience faxing is easier than ever with the send/receive capabilities of the new integrated modem on OptraImage's print server. Lexmark provides user flexibility by offering fax-from-glass and fax-from-driver capabilities.

Walk-up faxing is easy with OptraImage; just place pages in the auto document feeder feeder

, enter the receiver's fax number and press the big green "Go" button.

With an option called the Optra S/Se Plus SIMM installed on the printer,(b) customers can send faxes directly from their workstation via the printer driver. This fax-from-driver capability transforms the OptraImage multifunction solution into a fax server for any workstation on the network.

Print & Copy Enhancements

Book-copy mode and separator sheet support

The original OptraImage products offered features such as electronic collation COLLATION, descents. A term used in the laws of Louisiana. Collation -of goods is the supposed or real return to the mass of the succession, which an heir makes of the property he received in advance of his share or otherwise, in order that such property may be divided, together with the  and multi-up printing to lower costs and increase productivity. New convenience features in this series of OptraImage products include a "book-copy" mode and transparency (1) The quality of being able to see through a material. The terms transparency and translucency are often used synonymously; however, transparent would technically mean "seeing through clear glass," while translucent would mean "seeing through frosted glass." See alpha blending.  separator sheet capability.

Book-copy mode copies two pages of a book, electronically splits them and then prints two pages at full size. Separator sheets interspersed between pages of a transparency copy job adds usability How easy something is to use. Both software and Web sites can be tested for usability. Considering how difficult applications are to use and Web sites are to navigate, one would wish that more designers took this seriously. Print-and-Hold Features

Lexmark printer drivers offer custom capabilities to access customer-defined features available in Lexmark printing solutions. Drivers for the Windows 95/98/NT Refers to all 32-bit versions of Windows prior to Windows 2000. It implies Windows ME and Windows 2000. It specifically excludes Windows 3.x. See Windows.  environments now include multiple convenience features that give users more control over their print jobs, when used with the Optra S/Se Plus SIMM:

-- Confidential Print - Lets users assign a personal identification

number when sending a document to the printer. The job is printed

when the user enters the PIN number at the printer control panel.

This feature provides protection for confidential documents

-- Reserve Print - Allows the user to store a print job at the

printer and print it directly from the control panel of the

printer. This feature is helpful for print jobs that are

typically pre-printed (such as forms or letterhead) or for

document-on-demand printing (policy manuals, user guides)

-- Repeat Print - A quick way to get copies of the last print job,

right from the printer control panel. This feature lets users

print without returning to the application if they decide more

copies are needed

-- Verify Print - Prints only the first copy of a document and waits

for an "OK" to proceed with additional requested copies. This

feature is helpful for proofing the first copy of a document and

helps to reduce wasted supplies
