The Video Services Department of Lewis and Clark Community College (Ill.) has received a bronze Telly Award for 2012. In its 33rd year, the prestigious Telly Awards is the premier award program honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV programs, commercials, video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. The awards program received more than 11,000 entries from every state and numerous countries for consideration in its 2012 awards program. A judging panel of more than 500 industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Lewis and Clark's Video Services Department, under the direction of Brian Schrage, submitted a safety training video they completed this year for the Olin Corporation. The entry entitled "Don't Be A Johnny" was produced by Schrage and AV Coordinator Jay Hollinger. It depicts a lightheart ed look at a day in the life of an unsafe worker.
