In its 33rd year, the prestigious Telly Awards According to the web site, the Telly Awards "recognize distinction in creative work," honoring outstanding local and regional television commercials and productions, as well as non-broadcast video productions. The Telly Awards were founded in 1978 by David E. is the premier award program honoring outstanding local, regional and cable TV programs, commercials, video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. The awards program received more than 11,000 entries from every state and numerous countries for consideration in its 2012 awards program. A judging panel of more than 500 industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. Lewis and Clark's Video Services Department, under the direction of Brian Schrage, submitted a safety training video they completed this year for the Olin Corporation.
