Levine exclusive contract for 77,000 s/f shopping mall.


Levin Management Corporation of North Plainfield North Plainfield, residential borough (1990 pop. 18,820), Somerset co., NE N.J.; settled 1736, inc. 1885. A Revolutionary War cemetery is there., N.J., has been selected to provide complete property management and leasing services for Delco Plaza, a Pathmark supermarket-anchored center in Avenel, N.J.

The announcement was made by Richard Rush of Woodbridge Plaza LLC, the owner, and Robert Carson, Levin's vice president of operations."

"We are very pleased to have brought in Levin as manager for Delco Plaza," Rush stated.

"The Levin Management team has an excellent reputation throughout New Jersey for the way it manages retail venues like ours."

"Delco Plaza has a very desirable retail location and is anchored by a wonderful supermarket. An adjacent Kmart and a Home Depot across the street add to the activity at the center," Carson added.

"We are delighted to have been chosen to operate it."

Delco Plaza is located on St. Georges Avenue/State Road 35 between U.S. Route 1 and 9 and State Road 27. Daily traffic count is in excess of 35,000 vehicles. Other national tenants include Radio Shack, Boston Market, and Blimpie.

Population within five miles of the center is already 335,776, and average household income has already reached $93,092. Both population and income are projected to continue to rise rapidly in this market area.

The assignment brings Levin's total portfolio to nearly 11.6 million square feet.

The 53-year-old company now manages 5.6 million square feet just in New Jersey. The remainder of the Levin-managed portfolio is in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina.

The company works on behalf of individual, fiduciary and institutional owners and maintains a growing portfolio that now contains more than 80 diverse retail properties ranging from downtown stores to power centers of 550,000 square feet.
