Levien & Company wins award for restoration project.

Central Synagogue's restoration, after fire nearly destroyed the structure in 1998, was challenging from day one. Fire had consumed the roof that collapsed, while water from the firefighting efforts caused additional building damage. The reconstruction project comprised recreating the building's interior as it had been, including the original elaborate stencil stencil, cutout device of oiled or shellacked tough and resistant paper, thin metal, or other material used in applying paint, dye, or ink to reproduce its design or lettering upon a surface.  work.

Levien & Co. managed the complex design, construction, budget and scheduling issues and kept the project on time for its two and a half year completion date.
