Sixth-graders at Discovery Middle School made a patriotic wall to honor 9/11. We cut out red, white, and blue hands to make a huge American flag. Then we wrote poems about 9/11. But I do think snack stands shouldn't open until 10 minutes before lunch period ends. This way, kids will have a nutritious meal before being able to get a treat.
